Our Process

We value your time and understand how busy everyday life is and we do not believe in high pressure sale tactics. When you contact DWM Roofing for an estimate on replacing your roof, we can set up an exact appointment time and date to meet with you at your home or if you have a hectic schedule and prefer not to meet with us we will gladly stop by to measure the roof and provide you with a detailed proposal via email and literature left by your door. All of our estimators are highly qualified roofing technicians with many years of experience in the field. So you can trust that your roof is being assessed by a technician that understands every aspect of the roof. When we arrive your estimator will talk with you briefly to discuss and listen to your needs and concerns of the roofing project. If you are unsure of what style or color roof you would like, we will show you numerous options and styles of shingles to choose from although your decision does not have to be made at this time. Next, the estimator will set up a ladder and get on your roof to get accurate measurements and at the same time inspect the roof and ventilation to help identify any problem area’s or concerns that he may find. We will compile the necessary information and print a computer generated proposal on the spot (no waiting for the estimate). This process takes about 30-45 minutes.

Presentation

When we sit down with you for our presentation, we will show you different styles of shingles ranging from 25 year to lifetime warranties. We read through the entire proposal in detail with you. We explain the differences in the styles of shingles that we have offered you along with the accessory products and the process of how and where they will be installed on your roof. We explain the Manufactures standard and extended warranties as well as our Personal Warranty terms and conditions. In addition, we review any problem areas or concerns that we may have found on your roof complete with digital photographs. Your presentation folder will contain copies of our worker’s compensation and general liability insurances, our MHIC license, and a “what to expect while working at your home” sheet. We also include a referral sheets that includes numerous addresses of previous jobs that we have completed. This is a great tool to help you not only see what our work looks like but a real life picture of various style’s and color’s available.

We do not believe in high pressure sale tactics. Once our presentation is complete and we have addressed all questions and concerns, a simple phone call is all it takes to begin the process of replacing your roof. We will not contact you again unless you contact us. Feel free to contact us anytime if you have any questions or concerns with your roofing project. We are happy to help.

Hiring DWM

Once you have made your decision to entrust DWM Roofing with your roofing project, the estimator that performed your presentation will contact you immediately. He will be your contact person from the start of the job to well after the job is complete. This will ensure that there is no confusion because your roofing project is not passed from one person to the next. The next step is to make your selection of color and style and leave the rest up to us. We will put your home on our schedule for the next available date for your roof to be completed. In some cases it can take longer than expected to complete your roofing project. Keep in mind that Mother Nature greatly affects the roofing process. Because of this we monitor the weather radar continuously in your area and make an educated decision before we proceed.

Installing the Roof

We typically have the materials delivered to your home one day prior to your scheduled date. This ensures that we have the right material to complete your project and help eliminate unexpected delays. Your estimator and our roofing crew will arrive between 7:00am and 8:00am. Your estimator will review with our field foreman to ensure that your project is being completed to your satisfaction and contract specifications. We lay tarps around your home to protect the house and shrubs to the best of our ability. We move any lawn ornaments or furniture away from the house during the roofing process. They will be placed back after the job is complete. Most roofs are completed in one day. At the completion of the job we make sure the roof and gutters are clean and spotless. All roofing material will be cleaned up spotless from the yard, walkways, and the driveway. We magnetically sweep the yard, walkways, and driveway to ensure that no nails are left. All walkways, window sills and the driveway will be blown off with a leaf blower at the completion of the job.

Post Inspections

Your roof goes through two inspections after your project is completed. The first inspection is performed by our field foreman and the second inspection by your estimating representative. If there are any problems that are detected by either DWM Roofing or you as the homeowner, we will make sure they are addressed and repaired immediately. There will be no money collected until you are completely satisfied. Once your payment is received, your ten year labor warranty will be in effect. Also, if your project included a Manufactures extended warranty, DWM Roofing will register that for you on-line and you will receive in the mail a registration card stating the extended manufacturer’s warranties for your records.
